Hi, My Name is Willie

I am a 10 Year Young, "Retired" Black Greyhound

If I could feel this good I would be TWO, Willie talking He is looking very healthy here enjoying the Sun. He's almost 7 years young and enjoying life now in his retired years. He loves to run in the backyard and tears up our lawn going so fast. He also just loves to HOWL, with a little encouragement! His tail goes in clockwise and counter clockwise directions, he's such a clown !

If I could talk, this is "MY" Web Site I let my owner type this for me, because my paws just won't work... I would say that I Love my new home here in Beautiful Southern Oregon and my Masters are Richard & Maria Fraser.

I am not forced to run all out in races to try to get the fake rabbit on a rail they control. I was probably abused as I have scars on my body from them tying to get the most out of me.

The best thing was I was sold to owners that really love me for what I am a docile fun loving pet that would never hurt anyone including other dogs or a Cockatiel named "Birdiee" very original don't you think. I am in the company of 6 Chickens I would never hurt.

My name is Willie and I am a bundle of Joy to my new owners. I even have a Male dog for company his name is Brutus he is a Llasa Apso breed I don't care about that, he is a friend sometimes but most of the time I am in competition with him and have to share the food I get. I am fed 2 times a day I need all the nourishment I can get.

I am so spoiled, my owners walked me a lot and I started limping, In haste, they took me to the Vet to find out what the problem was. The Vet took X-Rays of my right front leg he said that it looked like Bone Cancer. Maria did not want to watch me suffer anymore so they decided to put me gently to sleep that day while we were still at the Vet.

This was a very hard decision, especially for Richard, he cried and told Maria he just couldn't do it. The Vet suggested that we all go home and think about it, but Maria knew she would have to come back alone with me the next day.

The Vet sent some nasty pain pills home for me to take. The pills were supposed to make me more comfortable, but they just wiped me out. They did not take any blood at that time, we are waiting for some time to go by before we took him back for a full analysis.

It is amazing how things work out sometimes GOD works in mysterious ways, that evening Dick and Maria had an appointment with a lady, named Pam, about some insurance. She came over to our house but they really couldn't pay attention; their thoughts were on me and what they were going to have to do. Maria started to cry and then began to explain my problem to Pam. That was a turning point for me, and our lives have been changed forever.

Have you ever heard of the movie "Pay it Forward", well that is kind of what happened for my family. Pam called a friend, Shanda, who had shared this "stuff" with her because it had helped her so much. Shanda had been in severe pain for 10 years before someone shared this with her. Pam told Maria that she knew Shanda had given it to her dogs, Reba & Fancy - they are Australian Cattle Dogs. She thought maybe there was a chance this "stuff" could help me.

Then Pam called Shanda and asked her to come over and meet my family. Shanda was at our door in just a few minutes with this jar of "Nutritional Supplements".
